Provided is a method for producing a filler tube in which it is possible to hold the filler tube at a prescribed position using a mold and to reliably mold a flange. This method for producing a filler tube (13) is provided with: a material placement step (S3) for disposing a material (50) in an outer peripheral mold (70) so that a portion to be engaged (72) is engaged axially with respect to an engaging portion (22) and so that the outer peripheral mold (70), which has been brought to a prescribed temperature, supports the outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical body (20) of the material (50); and a flare molding step (S5) for flare molding a flange (30) by inserting an inner peripheral mold (80), which has been brought to a temperature higher than the prescribed temperature of the outer peripheral mold (70), on the inner peripheral side of a molding blank (51), moving the outer peripheral mold (70) and the inner peripheral mold (80) in the axial direction relative to each other, and causing a welding-surface-forming portion (81a) and a counter-welding-surface-forming portion (75) to hold the molding blank (51) therebetween along the axial direction.
