Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing a fine paper powder, which comprises: a first pulverization step wherein a coarsely ground paper powder is pulverized by a first vertical roller mill (10) which comprises a plurality of first pulverization rollers (15) each of which has an outer circumferential surface provided with a groove (15a) that is inclined to the rotation axis (L1) at a predetermined inclination angle (θ1), so that a fine paper powder having an average particle diameter of 50 μm or more but less than 150 μm is obtained; and a second pulverization step wherein the fine paper powder obtained in the first pulverization step is pulverized by a second vertical roller mill (20) which comprises a plurality of second pulverization rollers (25) each of which has an outer circumferential surface provided with a groove (25a) that is inclined to the rotation axis (L2) at a predetermined inclination angle (θ2), so that a fine paper powder having an average particle diameter of 25 μm or more but less than 50 μm is obtained. In the method for producing a fine paper powder, the inclination angle (θ1) of the first pulverization rollers (15) is set to be smaller than the inclination angle (θ2) of the second pulverization rollers (25). Due to the above-described configuration, a fine paper powder having an average particle diameter of 25 μm or more but less than 50 μm can be obtained with an excellent pulverization efficiency.
