Abstract:
Provided is a method for efficiently producing a fluorine-containing polymer that has excellent adhesiveness and uses a polymerization medium having a low ozone depletion potential. The method for producing the fluorine-containing polymer is obtained by polymerizing monomer components including fluorine-containing monomers and polar functional group-containing monomers (excluding monomers having fluorine atoms) in a polymerization medium. The polymerization medium includes a medium compound represented by CmH2m + 1 - xFx-O-CnH2n + 1 - yFy (wherein, m is an integer from 1 to 6, n is an integer from 1 to 6, x is 0 to (2m +1), y is an integer from 0 to 2n, and (x + y) is 1 or more. The fluorine-containing polymer is produced by continuously or intermittently adding, within a polymerization reaction system, a solution obtained by dissolving the polar functional group-containing monomers in the polymer medium.
