Abstract:
Provided is a novel method by which the adhesion of a fluorine-containing polymer to a polymerization tank can be easily and effectively prevented. This method for producing a fluorine-containing polymer comprises: (a) using a treatment agent containing phosphoric acid and/or phosphate and a polar solvent to treat, from among the metal inner surface of a polymerization tank, at least a region that can come into contact with a reaction mixture during (b) below, and thereby form an adhesion-preventing film on said region; and (b) polymerizing, in the polymerization tank, at least a fluorine-containing monomer through suspension polymerization in a reaction mixture containing a fluorine-containing solvent and water to obtain a fluorine-containing polymer.
