Abstract:
Provided are a method for producing a high strength and lighter weight FRP cylinder, and a FRP cylinder. In the method for producing the FRP cylinder wherein a plurality of prepregs formed by impregnating thermosetting resin sheets with reinforcing fibers are wound into a cylindrical shape, and are subjected to thermosetting to form a plurality of FRP layers, when the plurality of prepregs are wound into the cylindrical shape, a simultaneous multilayer winding step is performed wherein a torsional stiffness retention prepreg having a fiber layer obliquely crossing the axial direction of the cylinder, and a buckling prevention prepreg having a fiber layer orthogonally crossing the axial direction of the cylinder, are stacked and successively wound for a plurality of times.
