Abstract:
A protein which is any one of proteins (a) to (c) as mentioned below; a gene which encodes the protein; a transformant in which the gene is deleted or mutated or the expression of the gene is suppressed; and a method for producing a glycolipid using the transformant: (a) a protein which comprises the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1; (b) a protein which comprises an amino acid sequence having a 50% or more identity to the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 and has an alcohol oxidase activity; and (c) a protein which comprises an amino acid sequence produced by deleting, substituting, inserting or adding one or several amino acid residues in the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 and has an alcohol oxidase activity.
