Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING GRAIN-ORIENTED ELECTRICAL STEEL SHEET
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/084203
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to stably achieve excellent magnetic characteristics of grain-oriented electrical steel sheets produced from thin slabs without using inhibitor forming components. This method for producing a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet comprises: forming a slab having a thickness of 25-100 mm produced from continuous casting using molten steel having a component composition containing, on a mass basis, 0.002-0.100% of C, 2.00-8.00% of Si, and 0.005-1.000% of Mn and in which Al, N, S, and Se are restricted to less than 0.0100%, less than 0.0050%, less than 0.0050%, and less than 0.0050%, respectively, and the remainder consists of Fe and inevitable impurities; and heating and then hot rolling the slab into a hot rolled steel sheet. In the step of heating the slab, the temperature is set to 1000-1300ºC, the time period is set to 10-600 seconds, and hot rolling is started within 30 seconds after heating.
