Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing graphene using Joule heating. The present invention provides a method for producing graphene using Joule heating, the method comprising: a catalytic metal placement step of placing catalytic metals at both of a pair of electrodes disposed within a chamber; a gas supply step of supplying, into the chamber, a carbon-containing reactive gas and a carrier gas for carrying the reactive gas; a temperature elevation step of heating the catalytic metals to rapidly increase the temperature of the catalytic metals up to a synthesis temperature required for synthesis of graphene; an isothermal step of maintaining the temperature of the catalytic metals to synthesize the graphene on the catalytic metals; and a cooling step of decreasing the temperature of the catalytic metals to control local generation of hot spots in the graphene formed on the catalytic metals, wherein the temperature elevation step, the isothermal step, and the cooling step constitute one cycle, and the one cycle is repeatedly performed within a predetermined process time range.
