Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for safely and efficiently producing a halogenoformic acid halogenated alkyl ester that also serves as a synthesis intermediate of a carbamate or an isocyanate compound. This method for producing a halogenoformic acid halogenated alkyl ester is characterized by including a step in which halogenated methane is irradiated with high-energy light at a temperature of 15°C or less in the presence of oxygen and a step in which a halogenated alcohol is additionally added and reacted without irradiating with the high-energy light.
