Abstract:
Disclosed is a novel method for producing hexafluoropropylene oxide, wherein a high HFPO selectivity can be achieved without using a phase-transfer catalyst.
Specifically, hexafluoropropylene (HFP), a water-soluble and aprotic organic solvent, and an aqueous oxidant solution are brought into contact with each other in a very small space, so that hexafluoropropylene and the oxidant are reacted with each other, thereby obtaining hexafluoropropylene oxide (HFPO).
