Abstract:
The present invention involves etching, with a laser, acrylic optical fibers brought to the surface of a union cloth in which the acrylic optical fibers and regular fibers are woven together. The present invention can prevent damage to the portion of the regular fibers, while enabling uniform and precise etching of an optical fiber-clad portion, and controlling, with precision, the etching depth of the optical fiber-clad portion. Also, the prevention invention can fulfill different tones of optical fiber patterns by means of various combinations of etching depths and etching widths, thereby obtaining a luminous effect like a melange fabric.
