Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a method for producing a vitrified grinding stone, whereby it is possible to stably produce a vitrified grinding stone that has a high porosity due to the presence of pores communicating with each other. [Solution] By performing a freeze vacuum drying step P3, a molded article 28 in which a plurality of frozen grains 30 are generated is placed under a vacuum condition to sublimate the frozen grains 30 in the molded article 28 to dryness. In this manner, communicating pores 32 are formed after the sublimation of the frozen grains 30. The pores 32 thus formed cannot be lost during the production process and, as a result, the shrinkage of the molded article 28 can be prevented. Therefore, a high-porosity vitrified grinding stone 10 which has a high porosity due to the presence of the communicating pores 32 can be produced stably.
