Abstract:
A method for producing a high-quality ε-caprolactam, the method involving a crystallization step for crystallizing a high-quality ε-caprolactam by pouring and combining, into and with a crystallization solution in a container, a melted rough ε-caprolactam and a mixed solvent of a cyclohexane and an n-heptane having a temperature that is 20 to 100°C lower than the crystallization temperature of the melted rough ε-caprolactam, wherein the container is equipped with a stirring instrument in which a blade part is disposed on a rotating shaft disposed so as to extend from the bottom part of the container towards the top part thereof, the entire stirring instrument is injected into the crystallization solution, and the melted rough ε-caprolactam and the mixed solvent are poured and combined while actuating the stirring instrument injected into the crystallization solution during the crystallization step.
