Abstract:
Provided is a method that, when producing higher-order chloroalkane by causing a dehydrochlorination reaction of chloroalkane in the presence of a Lewis acid catalyst comprising a metal chloride, further causing a chlorination reaction of chloroalkene which has been produced, and purifying the obtained reaction solution by distillation, has made it possible to subject the reaction solution to distillation after removing metal components derived from the catalyst to reduce deposits on inner walls of a device and piping, etc., during distillation and stably continue distillation for a long period of time.
