Abstract:
This method for producing a honeycomb structure is characterized by producing a honeycomb structure, which is formed from a porous ceramic, by carrying out at least a molding step, a degreasing step and a firing step after preparing a stating material composition with use of ceramic particles having a particle size distribution that has peaks in three ranges, namely a range of from 0.1 μm to 1.0 μm (inclusive), a range of more than 1.0 μm but 15 μm or less and a range of more than 15 μm but 100 μm or less as the particle size distribution is determined by a laser diffraction method.
