Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a method that is for producing a human corneal epithelium sheet for transplantation to corneal disease patients and that is for culturing, on an amnion substrate, human corneal epithelium-derived cells obtained by culturing human corneal epithelium cells. [Solution] A method for culturing human corneal epithelium cells using human mesenchymal stem cells as support cells, and a method for culturing human corneal epithelium cells using a culture medium to which has been added the combination of a ROCK inhibitor, a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, a MAP kinase inhibitor, and a TGF-β receptor antagonist.
