Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING HYDROGEN PEROXIDE, KIT FOR HYDROGEN PEROXIDE PRODUCTION, ORGANIC POLYMER PHOTOCATALYST USED IN SAID METHOD AND KIT, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAID ORGANIC POLYMER PHOTOCATALYST
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/074456
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides: a method for producing hydrogen peroxide, which is capable of producing hydrogen peroxide more efficiently and at lower cost than ever before; and a kit for hydrogen peroxide production. The present invention is specifically a method for producing hydrogen peroxide, which is characterized in that: (1) this method comprises a hydrogen peroxide generation step wherein hydrogen peroxide is generated by irradiating a reaction system that contains water, an organic polymer photocatalyst and oxygen (O2) with light; (2) the organic polymer photocatalyst is an organic polymer that has a structure wherein monocyclic or polycyclic aromatic compounds and/or monocyclic or polycyclic heteroaromatic compounds are linked by a crosslinking group; and (3) the organic polymer has a band structure wherein the conduction band (CB) is at a potential lower than the two-electron reduction potential of oxygen and the valence band (VB) is at a potential higher than the four-electron oxidation potential of water.
