Abstract:
A method for producing a hydrogenated conjugated diene polymer by reacting a conjugated diene polymer having active ends and a polyorganosiloxane having a total of two or more specific functional groups, at least one of the specific functional groups being selected from the group consisting of epoxy groups, alkoxy groups, carbonyl groups, 2-pyrrolidonyl groups, vinyl groups, and halogen atoms, and hydrogenating the modified conjugated diene polymer that is the product of the reaction. Provided are: a polymer composition including the resulting hydrogenated conjugated diene polymer, silica, and a crosslinking agent; a crosslinked polymer obtained by crosslinking the polymer composition; and a tire in which the crosslinked polymer is used as the material of at least a tread or side wall.
