Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING KETONE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/043459
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing a ketone, wherein an internal olefin or cyclic olefin, which has a functional group containing a heteroatom and comprises one or more carbon-carbon double bonds at a position other than the ends of each molecule, is oxidized without oxidizing the functional group in the presence of water, a palladium catalyst and a molecular oxygen in an amide solvent that is represented by formula (1), so that an oxo group is bonded to at least one of the carbon atoms that constitute each carbon-carbon double bond. (In the formula (1), R1 represents an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms; R2 and R3 each independently represents an alkyl group or aryl group having 1-4 carbon atoms; and when R1 and R2 are alkyl groups, the R1 and R2 may combine together to form a ring structure.)
