Abstract:
Provided are: a method for producing a lens array with which it is possible to prevent welds from being formed in the periphery of lens parts and to suppress an increase in the time for processing a transfer mold; and a molding mold. A master mold (10), which serves as a molding mold, comprises a plurality of linear grooves (14e) surrounding a plurality of cavities (12). Thus, resin is less likely to spread to corners (14p) where adjacent linear grooves (14e, 14e) intersect, and portions of resin that have run over toward the adjacent grooves (14e, 14e) can be prevented from contacting one another by spreading out so as to come close to one another, and from creating welds and trapping-in air bubbles. Also, because the linear grooves (14e) are not isolated but form a connected grid of grooves (114), the grid of grooves (114) can be formed by collective processing, and thus, the molding mold can be processed in a short time even in cases where lens elements (50) are small.
