Abstract:
A reflector having a smooth surface and a method for producing said reflector by using a liquid crystal resin composition obtained by mixing an inorganic filler with a liquid crystal resin are provided. The reflector is produced in such a manner that the difference (ΔRa) between the surface roughness (Ra) of the reflector and the surface roughness (Ra) of the inner wall surface of a mold for producing the reflector is not more than 0.1 mm. The mean primary particle diameter of the inorganic filler that is used is ideally not more than 15 μm. Furthermore, the content of the inorganic filler is ideally between 5 parts by mass and 70 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass for the liquid crystal resin.
