Abstract:
A method for producing a lipid, said method comprising culturing a transformant, in which the expression of a gene encoding protein (A) or (B) is promoted, and allowing the transformant to produce a fatty acid or a lipid comprising the same as a constituent; and a transformant in which the expression of a gene encoding protein (A) or (B) is promoted.
(A) A protein which comprises the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1.
(B) A protein which comprises an amino acid sequence having 70% or more sequence identity to the amino acid sequence of the aforesaid protein (A) and has an acyl carrier protein activity.
