Abstract:
A method for producing a liquefied petroleum gas, which comprises preparing a synthesis gas from a carbon-containing raw material such as coal, separating a gas containing carbon monoxide from the resultant synthesis gas, preparing a methanol dimethyl ether containing gas containing methanol and/or dimethyl ether from the resultant gas containing carbon monoxide and hydrogen, and on the other hand, preparing a hydrogen-containing gas from the above gas containing carbon monoxide and a water-containing gas separated from a gas containing lower paraffins by the shift reaction, preparing a lower paraffin containing gas containing propane or butane as a main component of hydrocarbons contained therein from the above two components, and then separating a water-containing gas from the lower paraffin containing gas.
