Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing a liquid composition for the oral cavity and a liquid composition for the oral cavity with which, even when the amount of cationic surfactant or anionic surfactant added is restricted, β-glycyrrhetic acid is stably dissolved or dispersed and transparency is increased, and the amount of β-glycyrrhetic acid adsorbed on the gums is sufficiently guaranteed. More specifically, the present invention is a method for producing a liquid composition for the oral cavity comprising the following steps 1 through 4: (step 1) a step for blending water (F) and an organic acid and a salt thereof (E) and bringing the pH to 5 to 6.8; (step 2) a step for adding 0.02 to 0.1 mass% of cetylpyridinium chloride (B); (step 3) a step for adding 0.02 to 0.1 mass% of β-glycyrrhetic acid (A) and 2 to 10 mass% of propylene glycol (C); and (step 4) a step for adding 0.45 to 1.1 mass% of polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil (D). Components (A) and (B) have a specific mass ratio, and the steps are performed in a specific order.
