Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for producing a liquid high-purity sugar derivative-modified silicone or a composition thereof, said method including: a capture step in which an impurity-containing composition, which contains a liquid sugar derivative-modified silicone and hydrophilic impurities derived from the sugar derivative of the sugar derivative-modified silicone, said sugar derivative being a hydrophilic modifier, is brought into contact with solid particles capable of capturing the hydrophilic impurities, and the hydrophilic impurities are captured by the solid particles; and a separation step in which the sugar derivative-modified silicone and solid particles are separated. Provided is a method for producing a liquid high-purity sugar derivative-modified silicone or a composition thereof, said method being useful for production on a commercial scale.
