Abstract:
According to the present invention, an organic isocyanate compound is prepared first as a main component of an adhesive, and a polyhydric alcohol having a weight average molecular weight of 60-200 is prepared as an additive of the adhesive. Then, the main component and additive of the adhesive are sprayed on a wooden fiber such that an isocyanuration catalyst is not included and 5-30 parts by mass of the polyhydric alcohol is included with respect to 100 parts by mass of the organic isocyanate compound. Next, the wooden fiber sprayed with the main component and additive of the adhesive is dried, and the water content of the wooden fiber is adjusted to 5.0-10.0%. In addition, the dried wooden fiber is hot-press molded at a temperature of 150-250°C under a pressure of 0.5-5.0 MPa.
