Abstract:
Provided is a method of producing a member composed of a shape memory alloy wherein good bi-directionality can be attained.
The production method has a memory processing step (S14) for performing shape memory processing on a shape memory alloy, a cooling step (S16) for cooling the shape memory alloy subjected to shape memory processing in the memory processing step down to a temperature equal to or lower than the transformation point (Mf), and a shot peening step (S18) for shot peening the shape memory alloy which is cooled down to a temperature equal to or lower than the transformation point (Mf) in the cooling step. The shape memory alloy is maintained at a temperature equal to or lower than the temperature of transformation point (As) in the shot peening step.
