Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a member having a bottomed hole wherein a two-point supported cutting wire is used to form a hollowed out bottom portion, so that yield of a material is good, durability as a cutting blade can be increased, a force required for the work can be extremely reduced relative to conventional methods; and also provided is a working tool. The production method comprising a process of hollowing a material made of a carbon-based material so as to produce a member having a bottomed hole provided with a hollowed-out side portion and a hollowed-out bottom portion formed by hollowing out the inside of the material; wherein the method comprises a step for forming a cylindrical groove by forwardly drilling the material from the front side end surface while the material is rotated, in order to form the hollowed-out side portion; and a step of forming a hollowed-out bottom portion by supporting, at two points, the cutting wire inserted to the bottom portion of the cylindrical groove and pressing the two-point supported cutting wire in the direction approaching the axis of the material while the material is rotated.
