Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A METAL BODY MADE OF AT LEAST TWO VISUALLY DIFFERENT METALS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/007684
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to the production of a metal body, which is made of at least two different metals, in particular for producing jewelry pieces and watch pieces. According to the invention, at least a partial area of the metal body is produced by pouring a noble metal slip into a mold. The noble metal slip is molded into a solid green body by drying the noble metal slip. The material of the green body can be brought in contact with a second metal before or after the drying. The product produced in such a way is then sintered to form a solid metal body. The second metal can be present as a slip or in metal form. The method enables a large number of design possibilities in a simple manner. For example, grained or marbled metal bodies can be produced. Furthermore, the metal body, from which the jewelry pieces or watch pieces are produced, can be provided with surfaces patterned as desired. For example, a grain (2) of yellow gold can be added to a body (1) made of white gold.
