Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing a metal nanoparticle colloid which contains nonmagnetic metal nanoparticles having various shapes. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing a metal nanoparticle colloid, which comprises: a step (S1) wherein a base liquid is prepared by mixing a non-polar hydrocarbon oil, which has a vapor pressure of 10-3 Torr or less at room temperature, with organic molecules each having a lipophilic group and a hydrophilic group, which has an N atom, an S atom, a P atom or an O atom at an end, or organic molecules each having the above-mentioned hydrophilic group that has a functional group, namely, an NH2 group, an NH group, an SH group, a PO group or an OH group; and a step (S2) wherein the base liquid is injected into a rotatable vacuum drum and a nonmagnetic metal material is filled into a crucible that is provided within the vacuum drum, and then the pressure within the vacuum drum is reduced and the vacuum drum is rotated, so that the nonmagnetic metal material is deposited on the base liquid that is adhered to the inner wall surface of the vacuum drum and rotated together with the rotating drum.
