Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing a metal oxide-silica composite aerogel and to a superbly lightweight metal oxide-silica composite aerogel produced according to same and, more specifically, to a method for producing a metal oxide-silica composite aerogel, comprising the steps of: preparing an acidic water glass solution by adding an acid catalyst to a first water glass solution (step 1); producing a precursor solution by adding a metal ion solution to the acidic water glass solution (step 2); and adding a second water glass solution to the precursor solution and subjecting same to a gelling reaction (step 3), the method comprising, in steps 2 and 3, a step of carrying out bubbling with an inert gas.
