Abstract:
Provided are a metal plate that exhibits an improved workability and cost when mass produced, while securing a satisfactory strength and performance; a metal supported electrochemical element having this metal plate; and the like. A method for producing a metal plate 20 includes a rolling treatment process carried out by rolling a metal material 10 that has a through-space 10c penetrating therethrough in the thickness direction, thereby reducing the thickness of the metal material 10 and shrinking the area of a surface opening 10d of the through-space 10c at the surface of the metal material 10 and providing the plate-shaped metal plate 20.
