Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing a metal wire wherein the productivity is enhanced by effectively preventing occurrence of wear of a die, or disconnection of the metal wire due to ductility loss.
A method for producing a metal wire comprises a step for drawing a metal wire (1) by use of a slip type wire drawing machine. The cone (11) of the slip type wire drawing machine has a flat surface which does not have any inclination relative to the axis of rotation, and the dies (12) of the slip type wire drawing machine are arranged in such a manner that the metal wire (1) passes by the point closest to the drive unit in the direction parallel with the axis of rotation of the cone (11).
