Abstract:
A (meth)acrylic resin composition obtained by a method having a step for: continuously supplying a raw material solution to a tank reactor, the raw material solution necessarily containing methyl methacrylate, a chain transfer agent, and radical polymerization initiator, and optionally containing an acrylic acid alkyl ester, the mass ratio of acrylic acid alkyl ester/methyl methacrylate of the raw material solution being 0/100-20/80; performing bulk polymerization in the tank reactor at a polymerization conversion rate of 40-70 mass% to obtain a reaction product; continuously extracting this reaction product from the tank reactor; heating the reaction product to a temperature of less than 260°C at the outlet of a heat exchanger, the extracted reaction product having an average retention time of from 30 seconds to 180 seconds in the heat exchanger; and removing the volatile fraction from the heated reaction product.
