Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING MIXED CRYSTAL OF DISODIUM 5'−GUANYLATE AND DISODIUM 5'−INOSINATE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2003/011886
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method for producing a mixed crystal of disodium 5'−guanylate and disodium 5'−inosinate (I&plus G mixed crystal), which comprises adding an aqueous mixed solution of disodium 5'−guanylate and disodium 5'−inosinate and a hydrophilic organic solvent simultaneously to a crystallization vessel while maintaining the proportion of the hydrophilic organic solvent in the liquid phase in the crystallization vessel at a level of 30 to 70 vol %, to thereby precipitate an I&plus G mixed crystal&semi and the method for producing an I&plus G mixed crystal, which further comprises adding a 5'−IMP2Na crystal and&sol or an I&plus G mixed crystal as a seed crystal. The method allows the suppression of the by−production of the amorphous solid of 5'−GMP2Na affecting adversely the separation of the crystal, which results in the production with high productivity of the mixed crystal with almost no amorphous solid which exhibits good separation.
