Abstract:
Provided is a modified cellulose fiber which has a type-I cellulose crystal structure and in which one or more substituent groups selected from among substituent groups represented by general formula (1) and substituent groups represented by general formula (2) and one or more substituent groups selected from among substituent groups represented by general formula (3) and substituent groups represented by general formula (4) are bonded to the cellulose fiber by ether bonds. General formulae: (1) -CH2-CH(OH)-R1; (2) -CH2-CH(OH)-CH2-(OA)n-O-R1 ; (3) -CH2-CH(OH)-R2; (4) -CH2-CH(OH)-CH2-(OA)n-O-R2
