Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing a mold for moth eye structures, which comprises: a step (a) wherein a porous alumina layer having a plurality of fine recessed portions is formed by anodizing a surface (10a) of an aluminum film or aluminum base via an electrode which is in contact with the surface: a step (b) wherein the plurality of fine recessed portions in the porous alumina layer are enlarged by bringing the porous alumina layer into contact with an etchant after the step (a); and a step (c) wherein the plurality of fine recessed portions are further grown by anodizing the surface via the electrode after the step (b). The step (b) is performed, while controlling such that an electrode part (32a2), which is in contact with the surface in the etchant, is not in contact with the etchant. Consequently, it is possible to prevent formation of defects which are caused by non-uniform corrosion.
