This method for producing a motor core includes: a step in which steel sheets are laminated in the axial direction to form a laminated steel sheet provided with a base part which is positioned outside a central axis in the radial direction, an annular part which is provided outside the base part in the radial direction, and which is separated therefrom, with thorough holes provided therebetween, and a plurality of coupling parts which extend in the radial direction, connect the base part and the annular part, and are provided side by side in the circumferential direction with a prescribed interval therebetween, said annular part being provided with connection parts which are provided adjacent to the coupling parts at both sides in the circumferential direction; and a step in which at least one among the connection parts in two places adjacent to one of the coupling parts in the circumferential direction is cut from the outside of the laminated steel sheet towards the inside of the laminated steel sheet in the radial direction.
