Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and a D-glucosamine salt by means of microbial fermentation. The method, by increasing the effect of D-glucosamine-6-phosphate deaminase (NagB) in microbes while reducing the effect to glucosamine-6-phosphate synthase (GlmS), or by increasing the effect of GlmS in the microbes while reducing the effect of NagB, boots production of N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and/or the D-glucosamine salt.
