Disclosed is a method for producing N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and/or d-glucosamine salt by means of microbial fermentation. The N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and/or d-glucosamine salt are produced with higher efficiency and higher yield, mainly by mean of enhancing the function of N-acetyl-D-aminoglycan kinase in microorganisms.
