Abstract:
Provided are a method for efficiently producing an N-alkylmaleimide copolymer having excellent optical characteristics and heat resistance and an N-alkylmaleimide copolymer having excellent optical characteristics, heat resistance, and flow characteristics during molding. In the present invention, an N-alkylmaleimide copolymer is produced as a particulate product by precipitation polymerization that effects radical copolymerization of a monomer containing 20-95 wt% of a specific N-alkylmaleimide and 5-80 wt% of a styrene compound in a specific polymerization solvent.
