Abstract:

Provided is a method for producing an N-vinyl carboxylic acid amide, which comprises a thermal decomposition step wherein an N-(2-oxyethyl)carboxylic acid amide is thermally decomposed in the presence of a solid catalyst. It is preferable that an N-(2-oxyethyl)carboxylic acid amide is synthesized by reacting 2-oxyethylamine and an acyl compound with each other.
