Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of producing an oil gallery in the volume of a pipe used for the recirculation of oil fumes from a cylinder crankcase of an internal combustion engine for a motor vehicle. The inventive method comprises the following steps consisting in: assembling a mould core of the recirculation pipe and a mould core of the oil gallery with the aid of complementary assembly means which co-operate with one another such as to form a one-piece assembly; introducing said one-piece assembly into the cylinder crankcase mould; and moulding the cylinder crankcase, the recirculation pipe and the oil gallery together into a single piece from a metallic material. The invention also relates to a mould core used to implement one such method, a cylinder crankcase obtained by one such method and an internal combustion engine for a motor vehicle comprising one such cylinder crankcase.
