Abstract:
A method for producing an oil-in-water type emulsion composition, comprising: step A of subjecting a material to be emulsified to an emulsification treatment by applying a pressure of 20 to 350 MPa inclusive to produce an emulsion, wherein the material to be emulsified contains a phospholipid, a triglyceride, at least one compound selected from flurbiprofen axetil and flurbiprofen, and water; and step B of subjecting a material to be heated to a heating treatment, wherein the material to be heated contains at least the emulsion produced in step A, and also contains at least one surfactant selected from the group consisting of a sorbitan fatty acid ester and a polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester, and wherein the total amount of the sorbitan fatty acid ester and the polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester is 0.6 to 1.8% by mass inclusive relative to the total mass of the material to be heated.
