Abstract:
A method for producing an olefin block polymer, wherein an olefin is polymerized using a polymerization catalyst (X) and an organic metal compound (C) that contains an atom selected from among group 2, group 12 and group 13 elements of the periodic table of the elements (excluding a promoter component (B) for activation). The polymerization catalyst (X) is formed by bringing a transition metal compound (A) represented by general formula (1) and a promoter component (B) for activation into contact with each other, said promoter component (B) for activation being selected from among organic aluminumoxy compounds (B-1), organic boron compounds (B-2), zinc promoter components (B-3) and ion-exchange layered silicates (B-4).
