Abstract:

Provided is a method for producing an optical display device, said method involving: folding, via a top section of a peeling body having the top section, a carrier film of an optical film laminate such that the other surface thereof comes inside and winding up the same; exposing an adhesive layer and peeling off a sheet-shaped optical functional film in a cueing state; stopping the operation of winding up the carrier film; detecting a leading end section of the sheet-shaped optical functional film in the peeled cueing state; after detecting the leading end section, winding the carrier film onto the peeled body and rewinding the same integrally with the sheet-shaped optical functional film in the cueing state to repair, at the top section of a peeled body, deformation due to an adhesive generated at the peeling position of the adhesive layer which was peeled off in the cueing state and exposed; winding up the carrier film again after the adhesive layer has been repaired; peeling off the sheet-shaped optical functional film along with the repaired adhesive layer and advancing the leading end section to a bonding position; and at the bonding position, the sheet-shaped optical functional film and a panel member, which is transported separately, are bonded via the adhesive layer by a bonding device.
