Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING OPTICALLY ACTIVE ALCOHOL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/062280
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for obtaining an optically active alcohol by highly enantioselective secondary alkylation, while suppressing side reactions. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing an optically active alcohol, which comprises (A) a step of obtaining an organic zinc compound by reacting a zinc halide, a metal alkoxide and RMgY (wherein R represents a secondary hydrocarbon group and Y represents a halogen atom) and (B) a step of causing a carbonyl compound to react with the organic zinc compound in the presence of a phosphoroamide compound (1). In the step (A), the amount of RMgY is not more than 1.8 equivalents per one equivalent of the zinc halide. (In formula (1), R1-R5 each independently represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group, and R2 and R3 are each bonded to a phosphorus atom directly or via an atom other than a carbon atom; X represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; and A represents a methylene group or a carbonyl group.)
