Abstract:
It is intended to provide a method of producing an organic compound with the use of an optionally processed aerobic corynefrom bacterium whereby an organic feedstock material (a sugar, etc.) can be converted into a desired product at an elevated ratio and the purity of the obtained product can be elevated. Namely, a method of producing an organic compound characterized by comprising growing and culturing an aerobic corynefrom bacterium under aerobic conditions, reacting the thus collected cells which are optionally having been processed with a sugar, etc. in a reaction medium under reductive conditions, and then harvesting the organic compound produced in the reaction medium.
