Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a production method which is applicable to a flexible substrate and by which an organic EL element having a long service life and high luminous efficiency is able to be produced at low cost. This method for producing an organic EL element is a method for producing an organic EL element 10 that comprises a light emitting layer 15, a block layer 16 and an electron transport layer 17 between a positive electrode 12 and a negative electrode 19; and this method for producing an organic EL element 10 is characterized by forming the block layer 16 with use of a coating liquid that contains a compound having a structure represented by general formula (1) and a polar fluorinated solvent. [In general formula (1), X represents O, S or NR9; each of R1-R9 represents a hydrogen atom, a substituent or a substituent represented by general formula (2), and at least one of the R1-R9 moieties represents a substituent represented by general formula (2).] [In general formula (2), L represents a linking group; R represents a substituent; and at least one of the L and R moieties represents an alkylene group or an alkyl group.]
