Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING ORGANIC TELLURIUM COMPOUND AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING VINYL POLYMER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/116144
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing an organic tellurium compound, with which an organic tellurium compound can be produced at a high yield using metallic tellurium as a raw material, and in which the amount of by-products generated is low. This method for producing an organic tellurium compound includes a step (A) for reacting metallic tellurium with a compound represented by general formula (1) and a step (B) for reacting the compound obtained in step (A) with an organic halogen compound. The content of copper in the metallic tellurium is less than 100 ppm. Formula (1): M(R1)m [In formula (1), R1 denotes an alkyl group having 1-8 carbon atoms, an aryl group or an aromatic heterocyclic group. M denotes an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal. The value of m is 1 when M is an alkali metal, and the value of m is 2 when M is an alkaline earth metal.]
